I wanted to let you know that Lauren, Holly and the delivery guys were fantastic on Monday. I had 1 project that the client gave me less than 1 week’s notice that his house was closing. The other gave me only 1 day–the agent called to let me know it was closing the next day, they just forgot to tell me. Plus it was the end of the month, so pick ups are normally booked already. Everyone was extremely polite, just determined to take care of the situation. I am truly grateful and wanted to make you aware of the great service. Thanks to all!
On September 22, 2012, we lost our home, vehicle, and personal property as a result of an electrical fire. Fortunately our homeowner’s policy provides temporary housing and furniture rental while the house is being rebuilt. McGuire Furniture Rental was recommended and Lauren helped us select the furniture, and arranged to have it delivered on Friday. The delivery representatives (Mike and Justin) did a great job setting up everything. The following Saturday morning, we did laundry and discovered water on the laundry room floor. Based on we could see, the water appeared to be leaking from the base of the washer. I called McGuire and spoke with Lauren who told me that she would contact the appropriate repair person to help me. Later I received a phone call from Dan at McGuire stating that he would stop by to take care of the problem. Upon arrival Dan assessed the situation. He was very sympathetic, honest and genuine about the circumstances surrounding our house fire and the water issue in the laundry room. Dan spread out moving pads and then began wiping up the water. After about 30 minutes of work, Dan called me to the laundry room and said he could hear a steady water drip from behind the wall of the washer spigots. Dan had me listen and we agreed that the leaking water was not from the rental washer, but from the home’s water pipes. We also agreed that this would have been nearly impossible to know without the work that Dan did. Dan also drove to his parent’s house (4-5 miles away) and picked up two floors fans to help dry out the laundry room. On Monday, I spoke with Holly at McGuire who arranged to provide additional towels to replace those used to wipe up the wet laundry room floor. She also arranged to have the washing machine replaced with a new one (even thought the first washer did not leak).
